Vanilla candles add warmth and coziness to a room. They smell wonderful without being overpowering. They look good during the day and lit at night. I like to find different ideas for displaying them. Here is some inspiration!
Here is a great tip for area rugs that slide around on the floor. It is simple and inexpensive. Just apply caulking in narrow strips to the bottom side of the rug. Let dry and turnover.
I find that the house feels bare after you put away all of the christmas decorations. It is nice to reorganize and simplify but I think it is nice to find a way to add some brightness to your winter days. I love these ideas…..
I love the distressed mirror and candlesticks.
I love the rustic look of the wood mixed with modern elements in a room. It adds warmth and loads of character!
Check out this great DIY! using Mod Podge and lace. This look adds a lot of texture and interest to an otherwise plain jane vase.
Here are some of my favourite Benjamin Moore Neutral paint colours. They add coziness and warmth to a room and pops of colour can be brought in with furnishings and accessories.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! I am excited, I get my new orange kitten tomorrow. A friend for our chocolate labrador, Clover. Hope they get along.
I love this DIY for antique glass vases. They are so expensive to buy, why not make your own. Go to http://www.marthastewart.com/273246/instant-antique-candleholders for this great DIY. You just need to purchase Krylon’s mirror spray paint. You should be able to purchase this product from The Home Depot. Pottery barn sells these beautiful lamps in the next picture. You could make your own with any glass or ceramic lamp.
